SKITOUR Ferwalljoch 2908m / Essener Spitze 3200m

Length:

1 day

Difficulty:

Participants

1-4 Persons

The Essener Spitze is located in the Gurgler Kamm and is one of the somewhat "easier" of the numerous high alpine three-thousand-metre peaks with Obergurgl as the starting point. The ascent can be shortened considerably with the help of the Festkogel cable car. After you have overcome the slightly exposed ridge climb, you have a gigantic view from the Zillertal Alps over the Dolomites to the entire Gurgler Kamm.

TIP:
If you use the Festkogel cable car, we save a good 500m of piste ascent and start the day with a 200m descent.

TIP2:
The Ferwalljoch alone is also an excellent ski tour destination in its own right. Ideal for ski tour beginners!

Obergurgl - summit: approx. 4.5h - 5h
